Vary Your Distance With Fairway Woods

Selection

You need proper gapping on the course. Explore the wide variety of fairway woods that Golf Galaxy has to offer.

Choose a loft option that complements your golf bag and adds versatility. Loft options vary from brand to brand. Find 3-woods, high launch or strong 3-woods, 4-woods, 5-woods and 7-woods.

Discover great options for right and left-handed players from brands like TaylorMade fairway woods, Titleist, PING, Callaway, Cleveland, ADAMS GOLF, Cobra, Nike, Nickent, Tour Edge and Wilson.

Buying Tips

Pay close attention to the flex you choose. Picking the wrong flex type can cost you distance.

Match your swing speed to the shaft stiffness. Fairway woods for men come in four different options.

  • 105 mph or higher: Extra Stiff
  • 90 to 105 mph: Stiff
  • 80 to 95 mph: Regular
  • 70-85 mph: Senior

Expert Advice

The power of your swing centers on the clubhead. Is the clubface sized appropriately? Is the center of gravity positioned to provide optimal launch? Get the design that fits your game.

Add fairway woods so you have a range of clubs to choose from that offer a variety of distances. Higher wood numbers indicate a reduction in overall distance. Consider using your 3-wood as a driver on par-3 holes or as a second club on a par-5.You might carry a 4-wood instead of a 3- or 5-wood so you can add an extra wedge to your bag. A 5-wood is a classic golf club that you might choose to replace with hybrids.
